Fee-only financial planning for young families and professionals
"I focus on helping young families reduce financial stress and optimize their money to achieve their unique goals."
- Joe Calvetti, CPA, CFP®
Why Fee-Only?
I founded Still River Financial Planning with one goal in mind — to help young families and professionals eliminate financial stress from their lives. When I first founded my financial planning firm, I knew I wanted to work exclusively for my clients. In other words, I don’t accept commission from the sale of financial products. The fees paid by clients are the only compensation Still River Financial Planning receives.
This allows me to always act in your best interest, and to always put your unique goals and needs first when delivering financial advice.
Who Do I Work With?
My clients are in their 30s-40s, and have hit a wall when it comes to managing their finances. They have busy personal schedules, growing careers, and have recently introduced financial complexity that’s too much to manage.
This might mean they’ve recently gotten a new job with stock options, that they’re navigating an inheritance, or that they’re facing any number of other financial milestones. While “leveling up” your financial life is exciting – it’s also stressful!
It’s tough to know whether or not you’re making the right decisions, and how you can start to work toward and prioritize some of your bigger goals like buying a home, becoming debt-free, or saving for college and retirement.
The Still River Financial Planning Process
I truly believe that having a fee-only, fiduciary advisor in your corner can help you to:
- Clarify your values
- Identify pain points in your financial life
- Set clear goals for both the short and long term
- Create a framework for future financial decisions so that you can move forward with confidence
I walk alongside my clients as a financial expert, and a trusted advisor, who can help to create a financial plan, guide them to stay on track, and answer any questions along the way.
At Still River Financial Planning, our clients are looking for a partner to help walk alongside them for the big financial decisions. My process focuses on the big financial questions you have and the small concerns that take up your energy.
Joe Calvetti, CPA, CFP®
I truly believe in the power of having a fee-only, fiduciary financial planner in your corner. When you have an advisor on your side, you’re able to prioritize financial goals and make decisions with confidence.
I’m located in Ayer, MA and work with clients virtually in the Boston area and across the country.
My Background
I earned my B.S. in Accounting and M.S. in Taxation from Bentley University in Waltham, MA, and began my career as an accountant. I earned the CPA designation, and worked in corporate finance for the majority of my career.
However, I’ve always had an interest in the personal side of finance. In doing research on my own financial questions, I came across the world of fee-only financial planning.
Over the years, my interest in comprehensive financial planning grew. Helping others navigate their financial dilemmas was something I was passionate about. I wanted to be able to help clients align their finances with their values, reduce decision-making stress, and prioritize their goals.
When I’m Not Working
I enjoy spending time with my family – my wife, Maggie, and my kids, Henry and Hannah. We love doing anything outdoors together, including hiking and kayaking. I’m a fan of live music and enjoy finding new local spots to visit with my wife when we can.
